This was the outline I used for my speech. Overall, I think I did a decent job for my first speech in the class; seeing as I wouldn't consider myself a strong public speaker. There were many things I know I could have improved on such as stronger eye contact and much more enthusiasm in my voice. The one thing I know that I was strong at achieving was connecting my topic to stories in my life. I used several different stories and examples from things that happened in my life. Even though I know there were a few things I did great, there is always room for improvement.
My favorite speeches were Marissa's about the cross country, Mathew's about comparing his life to an ocean, and the presentation about Thyroid Cancer. Marissa and Mathew were great at always bringing their stories back to their main theme, as well as great eye contact and enthusiastic in their voices. I really enjoyed the presentation about the Thyroid Cancer because of how personal she made the story, and how it really made me see her in a different perspective. They were all great presentations, but those were my favorite out of them all.
